IDP Online Reporting System (Formerly EVR)
So, you're an architectural intern and you have been working for months... and you have yet to report those hard earned hours to IDP!! What do you do?
Good news for you, my friend. There is an all new reporting system that was rolled out with IDP 2.0 and it's easier than ever. The online reporting system is a simple way to enter in your hours to specific experience categories, and then review your progress with a bar chart as the months go by.
Check this out for a better idea of what it's like: Getting Started
Easy, right? No? Maybe it's because you had to go back in time to remember what you were working on 2+ months ago! Did I help with programming that week? Maybe it was design development... and when did I help with that fundraiser? I think the meeting with the structural engineer was for three hours... or was it? No wait, that was the mechanical engineer... which was right before I jumped into code research...
I have more good news for you. IDP has an excellent resource to help you keep track of your hours! Check out the IDP Workbook (an Excel file) located here under Related Publications: Resources for Interns. You just need to enter in your hours day by day (or every few days) and at the end of two months there is a handy tally sheet with all your hours that matches the Online Reporting System. Voilà!
As for me... I've only got 1,280 hours reported and approved out of 5,600... so I better get to work. Happy reporting!
