Stafford King Wiese Architects Hires Multiple New Team Members

Stafford King Wiese Architects, a full service architecture, planning and interiors firm, is excited to announce multiple new hires in our education and healthcare design studios. Steve Winkle brings talent and experience as a project manager; Tim Hannon has joined as a senior architect; Nannette Lake and Colleen Kujala are project architects; and Raul Vargas is a job captain.

With 32 years of experience, Steve Winkle, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, is a Project Manager with the education design studio. Winkle possesses a background in K-12 educational, public works, military, commercial and church master planning projects. He is currently serving as the project manager for all of the firm's projects with the Fresno Unified School District, which includes a significant high school master plan and phase one expansion work, and new construction and modernization work at five elementary school campuses. Winkle possesses a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design, both with distinction from the University of Minnesota.

Tim Hannon, AIA, LEED AP, possesses 29 years of architectural experience with a background in medical, senior living, civic, higher education, commercial and residential facilities. He is a Senior Architect with the healthcare design studio where he is dedicated to providing quality control oversight on the Rideout Memorial Hospital Expansion. This is a six-story, 215,000 square foot new patient tower for a rural acute care hospital in Marysville, CA. Because of the size and complexity of this project, Hannon is lending his expertise to ensure the documents are keenly coordinated and accurate. He obtained his Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Nannette Lake, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has 20 years of architectural experience. Her background includes educational, public works, retail and residential facilities design. Lake is a Project Architect for the education design studio where she is working on several campus modernization projects for the Twin Rivers Unified School District. Stafford King Wiese Architects is serving as the Master Architect for the Douglas County School District in Minden, Nevada. With this assignment, Lake is acting as client advisor and design team liaison for a high school modernization project. She possesses Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Architecture degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Colleen Kujala is a 14-year experienced architect. Her background includes educational, healthcare, commercial and ecclesiastical projects of all sizes and complexity. As a Project Architect, Kujala is contributing to the design vocabulary and assisting with the development of drawings for several campus modernization and new construction projects at Del Paso Elementary School for Twin Rivers Unified School District and at Easterby Elementary School in the Fresno Unified School District. Kujala has a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon.

Raul Vargas' background in architecture includes 17 years designing healthcare, public works, utility and commercial facilities for clients throughout California. As a Job Captain at Stafford King Wiese Architects, Vargas is working on the Customer Service Center roof replacement project for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District; assisting with design of the new Chico High School Lincoln Hall Cafeteria and Field House building for Chico Unified School District; and accessibility remediation projects at Kaiser Permanente's Roseville and South Sacramento Medical Centers.
