The project consists of an overall site master plan, educational specifications and programming, detailed site planning and building design. The major goals of the site master plan include enhancement and enlargement of the central quad, permanent facilities to replace the 30 aging portables, centralizing the administrative functions and the visual enhancement of Palm Street side of the campus.
Phase I of the master plan, currently being programmed and designed, contains 46 new classrooms and science rooms, removal of several central buildings to enlarge and enhance the quad, the centralizing of the administration and library functions, a new operations and maintenance center, an overall change in traffic and parking circulation, and the improvement of the Palm Street facade. Total work in phase I incldues 90,000 square feet of new construction and 20,000 square feet of modernization projects.
