The design opens an exciting organizational opportunity to redirect the flow of student movement and improve the visibility of the physical education facilities on campus. Phase I of project includes modernization of the existing facility. Work includes updating the equipment room, team room, training, dance and adaptive physical education spaces. Changes will also be completed in the gym, locker rooms and updates made in the office and classroom spaces. Phase II will add 12,000 square feet to the complex. The addition will include a new multipurpose room, areas for mat sports, fitness and strength training facilities, and space for the fire and police training program. This facility is designed to LEED Silver equivalency.
