Four Fresno Elementary Schools Expansions & Renovations

Fresno, CA

SKW has modernized four of Fresno Unified School District’s existing elementary school campuses to develop new classroom facilities at each site –Mayfair, Rowell, Wilson and Winchell.

The classroom buildings are organized with a cluster of classrooms surrounding a group interactive room at the center of the cluster.  This organization will allow each school to practice team teaching and learning methodologies with collaboration amongst multiple classes and student groups.

The new buildings are replacing aging and inadequate portable classroom buildings, while supporting the District’s desired educational delivery model and enhancing the aesthetics of the respective campuses.  These projects are being delivered within short timeframes in order capitalize on the Overcrowded Relief Grant (ORG) funding grants available through the Office of Public School Construction.
