Consolidating services provides greater efficiency, improved care and easier access. Rideout Regional Medical Center (formerly Rideout Memorial Hospital) has a new six-story tower that allows the facility to expand its service offerings and improve the quality of care available to patients. The scope of this project is 220,000 square feet and includes the addition of a new tower and interior renovation of the existing facilities. Spaces and facilities include a fast-track emergency department, med surg patient rooms, cath labs, imaging, labor and delivery, nursery/NICU, post partum, pediatrics, admitting, kitchen, main data facility, materials management and loading dock, and a helistop.
The new tower connects to the existing hospital. Design and construction work was achieved over multiple phases to allow the hospital to remain operational throughout construction. Patient and staff safety was a critical consideration in the phasing plan.
This project consolidates key essential services from its sister hospital, Fremont Medical Center, to Rideout Regional Medical Center.
